Introduction
The Buck-Boost Converter Module is a high-performance DC–DC power conversion platform tailored for research, prototyping, and industrial applications. Engineered for precision and reliability, the converter integrates power switching, isolation, sensing, and gate-driving circuitry into a single compact unit. With its optically isolated gate-drive architecture, built-in sensor interfaces, and independent auxiliary supplies, this converter provides a robust and safe environment for developing and testing advanced control algorithms and power electronics systems.
High-Power Operation - Capable of delivering up to 250 W output power with high conversion efficiency and stable operation across a wide range of input voltages.
Integrated Gate-Drive Circuitry - Features a buffer stage for logic-level signal conditioning and an optically isolated gate driver, ensuring noise-immune, high-speed switching of MOSFET or IGBT devices.
On-Board Isolated Power Supplies - Includes a dedicated +15V isolated DC-DC converter for the gate driver and a +5V isolated converter for logic and buffer circuits, ensuring complete galvanic isolation between control and power stages.
Comprehensive Sensing and Feedback - Equipped with voltage and current sensors on both input and output sides, enabling accurate feedback for control, monitoring, and protection.
Integrated Current Sensor Interface - Precision on-board current sensor enables seamless connection with digital control systems such as dSPACE, microcontrollers, or DSP platforms.
Optimized Gate Interface - On-board gate-emitter resistance, RC snubber, and zener protection network improve switching reliability and safeguard the power device during transients.
Compact and Modular Design - Ready-to-use board layout optimized for laboratory, academic, and R&D environments — easily adaptable for custom topologies and closed-loop experiments.
Direct Logic Compatibility - Accepts both 3.3 V and 5 V PWM signals directly, with no need for external level-shifting circuitry.
