The Isolated Intelligent Half-Bridge Gate Driver Module is a compact, high-reliability solution engineered to drive both high-side and low-side power devices in half-bridge converter and inverter topologies with high precision and robust protection. The module integrates two independent single-channel 5.7 kV (rms) isolated gate driver ICs, each equipped with Desaturation (DESAT) detection and soft-turn-off, enabling safe and reliable operation of MOSFET, IGBT, and SiC power devices. A built-in isolated DC–DC power supply architecture generates +15 V and −8.7 V gate drive voltages for both high-side and low-side channels from a single 5 V input, completely eliminating the need for external isolated supplies and significantly simplifying system integration. The driver is specifically designed for high-speed, high-efficiency switching applications, ensuring clean gate transitions and minimized switching losses in half-bridge configurations. The module incorporates comprehensive protection and monitoring features, including UVLO on all gate drive supplies, DESAT-based short-circuit protection, and Active Miller Clamping for each channel, which prevents false turn-on during high dv/dt operation. For enhanced system observability and diagnostics, the module features Power, Ready (RDY) and Fault (FLT) LED indicators, allowing for real-time monitoring of both channels. Fault recovery is supported through both manual reset and microcontroller-based reset, offering flexibility for embedded control and protection coordination.
